Exclusive interview with ASETE: A “table-turning” revolution in reverse modeling

2025-04-07

On April 5, 2025, Nan Zhu, the founder of WolkenVision, was interviewed exclusively by the Association for Scientific and Educational Exchanges between China and Europe (ASETE) in France, sharing his technological breakthroughs and entrepreneurial journey in the field of AI Reverse Modeling. ASETE, a nonprofit organization established under the French Association Law of 1901, is headquartered in Nantes, France, and has long been committed to promoting the scientific and technological educational exchanges and cooperation between China and Europe and providing an incubation platform for innovative projects of the two sides. ASETE is a non-profit organization based in Nantes, France.

The Chairman of ASETE Technical Committee highly praised in the interview: “Nan Zhu's team perfectly combines the cutting-edge AI technology with engineering practice, and its innovative achievements not only solve the industry's pain points, but also set up a model for Sino-European cooperation in science and technology. The success of WolkenVision confirms the great value of cross-border technology cooperation.”

In 2019, Nan  Zhu, who was working in Switzerland at the time, discovered a huge technological gap in the field of reverse modeling. He joined forces with a team from ETH Zurich and spent four years on research and development, culminating in the creation of WolkenVision in 2023. Its revolutionary AI modeling technology can reduce the cost of traditional modeling by 90% and increase the efficiency by 70%, and has been successfully applied in many international projects.

ASETE's Marketing Director added: “WolkenVision's multinational team structure and dual-track R&D model are extremely informative. They maintain the rigor of European technology R&D while integrating the rapid response capability of the Chinese market, an advantage that will be fully demonstrated in the 'Winning in Suzhou' International Creators Competition in 2024.”

It is reported that WolkenVision has won the second prize in France and the third prize in the global finals of the competition thanks to its innovative technology, and the head of ASETE's education program pointed out, “Zhu Nan's team's award is no coincidence, as they have accurately grasped the match between the industry's needs and technological trends, and this kind of innovative thinking is exactly what we are committed to fostering in our association .”

Currently, WolkenVision is accelerating its global layout, and its new generation of AI modeling engine will focus on breaking through the application of cultural heritage digital protection, etc. ASETE said it will continue to pay attention to the development of WolkenVision and promote more Chinese and European enterprises to carry out similar technological innovation cooperation.
